Estelle’s campaign is proud to announce the strong backing she continues to receive from across the community. Estelle has been endorsed by the Southern Humboldt Fire Chiefs’ Association and the The Humboldt County Democratic Central Committee ( HCDCC ) as well as numerous individuals from a broad cross section of the community.
Estelle Fennell Endorsed By Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3
Second District Candidate Estelle Fennel has received the endorsement of the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3. District Representative Richard Marshall released the announcement in a letter to the membership stating, "One candidate stands out and deserves our support: Estelle Fennell, candidate for Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, District 2."
On May 27th, Richard Marshall called Estelle with the news of her endorsement from the Union saying, "We feel Estelle has an important understanding of labor issues and will look out for working people and our hard-earned tax dollars." He went on to say, "Estelle has a solid grasp on and understanding of the county’s infrastructure needs in order to improve our economy."
Estelle responded to the news saying, "I am greatly honored to accept this endorsement from the Operating Engineers Local Union No.3. I recognize how hard people work to provide for the needs of their families and our community. I am committed to ensuring that businesses can stay here in the 2nd District, that new businesses will be excited to move to and become a part of our community, that workers rights will be protected, and their hard-earned tax dollars will be spent wisely for the betterment of the 2nd District."
This latest endorsement adds to the ever-growing list of support for Estelle’s bid for 2nd District Supervisor including Humboldt Del Norte Central Labor Council and the Southern Humboldt Fire Chief’s Association.

On April 21st Jim Smith, President of the Central Labor Council of Humboldt and Del Norte Counties announced that at the regularly scheduled council meeting on April 8, 2008 Estelle Fennell was endorsed in her bid to win elected office to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, District Two. Estelle accepted the Labor Council’s endorsement with pride saying that she would be honored to represent the interests of Humboldt County’s workforce when elected.
